I have a 26 years of experience in nutrition, supplements, and the science of natural healing. I am currently a licensed dietician nutritionist in Illinois. I focus my services on using food and dietary supplements to support the best function and self-healing ability of my clients. I obtained my naturopathic training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, and accredited program, which granted me the ND in 1997. I completed a two year residency at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic form 1997 to 1999. I have worked in a number of clinical settings since, and I have been very involved in the education of tomorrow's naturopathic doctors. I am a Professor in a naturopathic medicine program, and I write both textbooks for medical students, and at times, nutritional books for the public. I am a Certified Nutrition Specialist and I have a particular interest in cardiovascular health, and the use of plant extracts and food derived antioxidants. I've worked with people of all ages with many different problems. I believe that patients deserve the best of all options, and what I do is meant to be used effectively with other approaches, including conventional medical care that clients receive from their primary care provider.

But the pillar of good nutritional therapy is awareness of food choices, support for changes, and the specific use of healing foods and dietary supplements.
Medical nutrition, and a diet that is designed for long term good health is available to everyone. Some of the things that I have found are common issues that clients seek assistance for are:
